DAKAR (Reuters) - Natural and human factors made Sierra Leone's capital vulnerable to a landslide that killed more than 400 people this week
The deadly landslide in Freetown, Sierra Leone on Monday morning was undoubtedly partly the result of deforestation.
As the long awaited rains begin to fall in the city, residential areas along the hills and valleys are getting apprehensive with reported cases of disaster in various parts of the east end of the city.
